Podcasting and the Curse of Convenience

Written Aug. 20, 2008 by Tom Webster in with 0 Comments

I just got back from giving a very well-received talk at the New Media Expo in Las Vegas on the topic of podcast advertising efficacy. I am grateful to everyone who attended, and especially appreciative to everyone who stopped me afterwards with some additional questions and comments. One aspect of my talk (available here soon!) that got the most comments was a bullet point I gave about the "convenience" of consuming podcasts--and how that convenience could be as much a hindrance as a help. Lots of great feedback on that point, so I wanted to expand upon it. If you are interested in downloadable media--and monetizing it, in particular--I hope you'll read Podcasting: The Curse of Convenience here.
